Main lifts explained
Some of you may notice that some of our programs have main lifts which are not modifiable whereas accessory movements can be changed. The reason for this is the main lifts are meant to be lifts you focus on for specific durations of time. While variety is a good idea in general over the course of your lifting career, too much variety can be a bad thing. Spending specific periods of time focusing on a few lifts can be extremely beneficial. Practicing a particular lift repeatedly can increase proficiency, and allow you to get much stronger, thus creating more progressive overload and hopefully more growth as well.
