How to perform myo reps


Myo reps are similar to other intensity techniques like drop sets or rest-pause because they include brief rest periods in-between "mini-sets".

You start your myo rep set by performing a high rep, "activation set" of 9-20 reps using an intensity that allows you to come close to failure within that rep range. The goal is to get very close to failure, but avoid true failure so you aren't burned out for the upcoming "mini-sets".

After the activation set you'll take a brief rest of 3-5 deep breaths or 10-15 seconds.

Then you'll complete another set of 3-5 reps.

You'll continue this cycle of brief rest with mini-sets of 3-5 reps until you complete 5 mini-sets or complete fewer reps than the previous mini-set.
